    Flow cytometry
    A technique for analysis of individual cells. Cells stained with fluorochrome-labeled monoclonal antibodies are flown in a stream of solution at a high speed and are passed through the laser beam. The cells are individually analyzed by forward scatter (size of the cell), 90° side scatter (internal complexity of the cell), and fluorescence intensity (cell surface expression of the antigen).
    Two-color flow cytometry uses a combination of fluorochromes for double staining.

COMMENT


Avoid freezing. Acceptable days are Monday to Friday. Materials other than blood cannot be accepted.
Make sure to use a special request form to include the presence or absence of false-positive rituximab (Rituxan) and Thymoglobulin administration, the (scheduled) date of transplantation, recipient's clinical diagnosis, pregnancy history, blood transfusion history, recipient and donor. Please make sure to include your relationship with the recipient, sex, and age of the recipient and donor.
Please be sure to submit the recipient sample and donor sample in pairs.
Please submit the specimen on the same day after collection. Please avoid duplicate requests with other items.
Collect the specified amount of blood, inject it into the container shown below, mix well, and store at room temperature.
