POT method
A method of determining the genotype (POT type) of a bacterial strain by selecting ORFs (Open Reading Frames) that have different retention status for each bacterial strain and detecting their retention patterns using multiplex PCR. Comparison of POT types enables strain-level identification, and isolates obtained from outbreaks often have the same POT type.
