Submitting samples for test of lung cancer ALK protein, highly sensitive IHC

• In some cases, the presence/absence of cancer cells may not be clear: please provide a copy of a certificate of pathological diagnosis when putting in your request. (It is not required if SRL has conducted the general pathological examination.) If for some reasons you are unable to provide a copy of a certificate, please provide as many specifics as possible such as the pathological diagnosis (e.g. histological type) and clinical information in the request form.
• For a testing material, unstained specimen slides prepared using formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded blocks with a tissue that contains nonsmall cell lung cancer are used. Use coated slides such as those coated in poly-l-lysine or silanized slides.
• Thinly slice the tissue section into 4 μm and apply it onto the slide at the center: leave the slides to dry at about 37℃ for 24 hours, before sending them in.
• For a request made using paraffin blocks, the testing will take extra time for the preparation of unstained samples: please check with our sales representative.
